My clinical area of expertise is in burns, complex wounds, and the diabetic lower extremity.

I completed my B.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Nutrition in 1997, and M.D. program in 2001 from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

In 2010, I graduated from the University of Toronto Surgeon-Scientist Program with my Ph.D. in burns and optical imaging.

I became a board certified plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic Surgeon in 2013. Before relocating back to Atlantic Canada, I had previously worked as a staff Surgeon and Scientist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. I was also cross-appointed at Women's College Hospital and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. 

My primary practice focused on complex tissue injuries such as:

• Diabetic Foot Ulcers

• Pressure Injuries

• Hidradenitis Suppurativa

• Epidermolysis Bullosa

• Trauma
